MEMORIAL DAY
On this day
in 2003 Harland and I were in Florida. We had been witnessing in a community
church.
On Thursday
night one of the men got up in front of the congregation parading back and
forth holding a bible up and saying “this is the best thing God ever sent us”.
So that
night as I lay awake troubled for hours seeing Ray exalting the bible replaying
over and over in my mind.
I was
saying in my heart over and over again, “Lord, they love a history book about
You more than they love You and the Holy Spirit.”
As I lay
there on the bed Thursday night until the early hours of the morning which
would have been early Friday morning, I saw coming down from the ceiling an arm
and as it got closer to me, I saw that it had a large scar on its hand.
And I
thought, “that must be Jesus’ hand” the hand reached down and shook my hand and
Jesus said “Congratulations”.
And then Jesus
appeared up near the ceiling standing with a group of men that had been killed
for preaching the Gospel and said “Welcome to the brotherhood”.
This is a vision
that I will always remember, it is so humbling that Jesus would shake my hand
and welcome me to the brotherhood of saints that had given their lives for the
Kingdom of God.
So I wish
to thank the Lord and acknowledge Him and His saints that have suffered so much
and given their lives for our Savior and the truth so that others might find
life in Christ.
This is
truly a memorial day to remember.
Praise
Father God and King Yeshua for remembering our generation and reaching out His
precious nail scarred hand to us. I love them so much for the love they have
given Harland and I all of our lives. Thank you Jesus.
